Help without harassment

Treat requesters, responders, and staff with respect. Threats, harassment, discrimination, sexual misconduct, stalking, retaliation, intimidation, and deliberately abusive communication are not allowed.

Coordinate a safe recovery

Protect private information

Use another participant's location, phone number, photographs, and profile information only to coordinate the rescue. Do not publish, retain, or misuse private rescue information. Share photographs and messages only when you are authorized to do so.

Reports, muting, and blocking

The app can report a participant, rescue, message, or photograph. A report may preserve the referenced content and rescue activity so authorized staff can review what happened. Muting controls ordinary chat alerts. Blocking prevents future matching and contact after the active rescue is safely concluded.

During an active rescue, essential status, location, and safety communication may remain available until the rescue is cancelled, transferred, or handed off. Use Report and request replacement or Report and withdraw safely when immediate separation is needed.

Review and enforcement

Offroad Rescue may issue a warning, restrict requesting help or responder duty, temporarily suspend an account, or ban an account. Reviews consider the available evidence, severity, safety risk, prior conduct, and context. A report by itself does not establish that a violation occurred.

Appeals

A person affected by a moderation decision may submit an appeal through the app when that option is available. Beta users may also contact support@offroadrescue.com. Include the report or decision reference and explain what should be reconsidered. Do not send identity documents or unrelated private information by email.

False or retaliatory reports

Knowingly false, repetitive, or retaliatory reports may themselves violate these standards. Good-faith reports remain welcome even when a review does not find enough evidence for enforcement.
