Terms of Service

These are provisional public-launch terms. The app presents and records acceptance of an immutable version. The exact in-app version shown when you accept controls if it differs from this readable web copy.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to agree to these terms. Offroad Rescue is not intended for children. An underage person who needs help should ask a parent or guardian to make the request. If anyone is in immediate danger, call 911 or the appropriate local emergency service.

2. Volunteer matching platform

Offroad Rescue helps requesters and independent volunteer responders find and communicate with each other. Offroad Rescue does not employ, direct, certify, or supervise responders. Responders decide whether to accept or continue each request.

3. No emergency service or guarantee

Offroad Rescue is not an emergency dispatch, towing, roadside-assistance, or public-safety service. No responder, response, arrival time, identity, skill, equipment, communication, location accuracy, safety, or recovery outcome is guaranteed.

4. Community vehicle assistance is at your own risk

Vehicle assistance, including but not limited to jump-starting, changing tires, unlocking doors, pushing a vehicle, or other minor roadside and off-road help, carries inherent risks of property damage, mechanical failure, bodily injury, and death. By requesting assistance through the service, you acknowledge these risks and agree that you are requesting help from an independent community volunteer on an as-is basis and entirely at your own risk. The Requestor Agreement explains the requestor-specific acknowledgment and release in plain language.

5. Service boundaries and alternative care

The service is intended strictly for minor, peer-to-peer community assistance. Responders use their own judgment and standard consumer tools. If a vehicle requires specialized commercial towing, professional equipment, heavy machinery, or roadside help on a high-speed interstate shoulder, bypass this service and contact a licensed, professional commercial towing or roadside provider. If anyone is in immediate danger, call 911 or the appropriate local emergency service.

6. Location and communications

To match and coordinate rescues, the service may collect precise and approximate location data and share rescue and participant locations with assigned rescue participants and service providers. Operational in-app messages, push notifications, and participant-initiated phone or SMS communications may be used for a rescue or account. Carrier charges may apply.

7. Tips and connection fees

Access is free during the initial Texas launch. Billing and automatic renewal are disabled. Any future subscription or platform fee will purchase access to the technology network and coordination tools only—not towing, roadside assistance, recovery, dispatch, a responder, an arrival time, or an outcome. A tip is optional and never required. Offroad Rescue does not process, hold, guarantee, or require external user-to-user payments.

8. Conduct and content

Provide accurate rescue information, communicate respectfully, and share only content you are authorized to share. Do not use the service for unlawful, deceptive, harassing, or dangerous conduct, or attempt to bypass its access controls.

9. Limitation and release

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, you assume responsibility for your use of the service and release Offroad Rescue and its operator from claims arising from volunteer assistance, participant acts or omissions, and the inherent risks described above. The service does not vet the mechanical safety of vehicles, rigging, tools, or equipment used by a participant. Nothing in these terms creates a promise that a volunteer is qualified, insured, or able to complete a request. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or waived.

10. Texas launch boundary and changes

During the initial public launch, live requests, responder matching, and rescue alerts are limited to incidents physically located in Texas. Accounts may be created elsewhere and geographic availability may expand. Features and pricing may change; a new in-app document version requires a new recorded acceptance. Responders must also accept the separate Responder Agreement before going on duty. Requestors should review the separate Requestor Agreement. Everyone using the service must follow the Community Standards.
